Instructions: Read the scenarios below—if the situation rings true for you, check the corresponding need that most resonates with you. You are looking for the underlying need that drives the behavior. A need is a requirement for you to feel satisfied in life. Our needs are not optional. If your core personal and emotional needs aren’t fulfilled, you will have a hard time being your best and may find you become cranky, irritable, annoyed, depressed, sad, apathetic, resentful, angry, etc. If the scenario isn’t true or wouldn’t apply to you, just skip it and move on to the next scenario without checking a box. Don’t worry if you don’t like the fact that you have some of these needs (nobody does!). That is a good indication that it is one for you!
