Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

I hope you are enjoying your friends and family this holiday season. (You will be if you’ve followed the earlier tip on setting the holiday up so it works for you!)

If you can, find a few minutes to relax in the bath or in front of a cozy fire and jot down your accomplishments for 2006. This has become an annual ritual for my husband and me. It is all too easy to start thinking of your goals and plans for the next year without taking stock of all that you’ve accomplished over the past 12 months. Pull up to the fire with a hot cup of cocoa or jump in the tub and write down everything you can think of that you’ve accomplished this year. Try to include everything – both work achievements and personal successes, such as cleaning out the garage or making a new friend or travelling to a new city.

Once you’ve finished your list, read it out loud, to yourself or with your partner. Crack open a bottle of something bubbly to celebrate! Bask in your accomplishments and then, make your wish list for 2007. Think fairy godmother stuff here as opposed to goals and objectives. Just put down your wishes for the New Year on paper, and watch what happens.

Enjoy!
